Chemical Peel

Chemical peels involve the careful application of a chemical exfoliator to the epidermis of the skin. This is done to specifically remove superficial lesions and blemishes and thus improve the texture and appearance of the skin. Sun damage and acne can also be improved by the process.

Various acids and base chemical agents can be used for this process.

Results depend on the nature of the compound used, the concentration of the chemical and the amount of time it is in contact with the skin. This all determines the skin penetration and level of peel.

At Glama Tox I have Glycolic peels ranging from 20%, 30% to 50% available. This provides a good superficial peel and is very gentle with no down time.

I also have PCAskin retinol peels and this can provide a good medium depth peel if a full course is taken. Again there is no down time and no dramatic peeling.
